Force Composition Header

Battalion – The Battalion is the largest unit in the Laser Recon Battleverse. Led by a Battalion Commander (BC), you follow the higher headquarters orders to achieve your factions localized priorities. The Battalion consists normally of two Companies. Being able to bring a large number of firepower to any one mission it will shred the country side. The Battalion Commander provides overall leadership and direction to this offensive juggernaut and is the highest rank achievable on the local level.

Company – The Laser Recon Company normally consists of two Platoons. The Company Commander (CC) is the operational lead for this unit that can bring a large amount of firepower to the battle. The first echelon of battle, the Company Commander will often find themselves in charge of the flow of a mission while the Battalion Commander is occupied.

Platoon – The Laser Recon Platoon is the core unit of the Laser Recon Battleverse. Consisting normally of two squads and lead by the Platoon Leader, the provide a solid capability on the field. The Platoon Leader must not only be an expert at larger issues of a conflict, but be able and willing to get down and dirty with his troops.

Squad - The Laser Recon Squad provides the focal point for many battles. The Squad consist of 2 Fire Teams. Unlike the higher headquarters, the Squad is the first level that any team member may be designated a ‘Commander’ on the field, gaining the benefits as such on their weapon.

Fire Team – The crux of the Laser Tag Battleverse. As the smallest combat force on fielded within the Laser Recon Battleverse will be the mainstay unit for the vast majority of missions. The Fire Team consists of 5 members whose specialties will be designated by mission. Although a commander may not be assigned to a Fire Team, the mission will dictate the Team Leader by position.

Unit Attachments – Although not a standard unit within the game, certain missions may allow for specialized unit attachments to accomplish scenario objectives. For example a mission needing stealth may provide additional team members to be come a Scout Team or a high power offensive mission may allow for additional players to be allocated as Heavy Weapons Teams.
