What is Laser Recon/laser skirmish?
Laser Recon is our form of laser skirmish, a unique sport that blends the best qualities of traditional laser tag, paintball, airsoft and video games. Players are organized into teams, where they work together with their teammates to achieve mission objectives. Depending on the mission, this could involve eliminating all of the opposing team players, escorting a VIP to an extraction zone, defusing a “bomb” before time runs out, or all of the above!

Is it like paintball/airsoft?
It shares many similarities to paintball and airsoft; like these combat sports, it requires good aim and coordination with teammates to execute the mission at hand. Unlike either of these sports, there’s no doubt about who was hit; the powerful electronics at the heart of our equipment are the perfect impartial referees! Another important advantage of Laser Recon is that there are no projectiles, making it much safer.
Does it hurt? Is it safe?
Because our equipment uses harmless Infrared light to simulate an electronic “bullet”, no projectiles are used. In addition to not leaving nasty bruises, this means you don’t have to worry about protective eyewear, face-masks or neck guards. Like any active sport played outdoors, there is a potential for harm. Our Mission Coordinators will brief players on the safety rules to follow; as long as a player abides by these rules, the worst they have to fear is tripping and falling down.
How do you play?
There are almost countless ways to play Laser Recon, and our extensive mission library allows for games limited only by your imaginations! A central objective of every game is shooting out opposing team members, but be warned: the mission objective is the most important thing, and many a team has let victory slip from their grasp because they focused too much on taking out the other team!
How is Laser Recon different from regular laser tag?
The two main things that set us apart from traditional indoor laser tag are our gear and our missions. Our gear is packed with technology designed to maximize gameplay options, allowing us to match the challenge level of our missions to suit the players. Our different gun models are also designed to cater to different playing styles, with the smaller, lighter guns being easier to handle but lacking the power and range of the heavier, bulkier guns.
