What is Laser Recon?

Laser Recon is a form of laser skirmish, a sport which combines the fast-paced action of paintball and airsoft with the arsenal found in movies and video game. The result is a uniquely challenging sport which is simple enough for anyone to play, yet versatile enough to keep even seasoned veterans on their toes.

Each player is armed with one of several types of laser guns. The weight, look, range and features of these guns are similar to their real-life counterparts. For example: a player armed with a M16 will be able to shoot farther than a player equipped with a UMP45, but will have a lower ROF (rate of fire, a term for how many shots the gun can make per minute). Players will also be called upon to interact with a range of props central to the mission at hand, such as land mines, bombs, homing beacons and many more.

Players belong to teams which compete against each other to complete missions. The missions range in difficulty and complexity, from simple missions (such as Team Elimination, where the only objective is to defeat all players on the opposing team) to more complex missions involving multiple props, dynamic objective values, protecting the team captain, and many more.
